Connecting Accounts

Connect your TikTok and Instagram accounts so LarryLoop can post on your behalf. You can connect as many accounts as you want on any plan.

Where to connect accounts

Accounts are connected during Onboarding step 3 (Connect), or anytime from Dashboard → Channels. You can disconnect and reconnect from Channels at any time.

Connecting TikTok

TikTok uses OAuth — you authorize LarryLoop through TikTok's own login screen. We never see your password.

Make sure you're logged into the correct TikTok account in your browser before clicking Connect. The OAuth popup opens TikTok's login page — if you're in the wrong account, you'll connect the wrong one.

1

Go to Dashboard → Channels

2

Click "Connect TikTok"

3

A popup opens TikTok's authorization page

4

Log in (if not already) and click Allow

5

The popup closes and your TikTok account appears in the Connected Accounts list

You can connect multiple TikTok accounts — each one appears as a posting option when you generate content. Only one TikTok account can be selected per generate batch.

Posting Mode: Draft vs Live

When generating content, you choose how your TikToks get published:

Draft ModeRecommended

LarryLoop sends content to your TikTok drafts. TikTok notifies you → open the app → add music → publish.

  • Better reach (music boosts distribution)
  • You control the final publish
  • Adds a human touch
Live Mode

Posts go live automatically at the scheduled time. No action needed from you.

  • Fully hands-off
  • Lower organic reach (no music)
  • No pre-publish review

Draft mode gets more views. TikTok's algorithm strongly favors content with music. We recommend Draft mode unless you're running high volume and can't keep up with publishing.

📸Connecting Instagram

Instagram connects the same way — OAuth popup via the same Channels page. You'll need a Professional account (Creator or Business) to use the API.

1

Go to Dashboard → Channels

2

Click "Connect Instagram"

3

A popup opens Instagram's authorization page

4

Log in and authorize access

5

Your account appears under Connected Accounts

Instagram always posts as:
  • Carousel post (multi-image slideshow)
  • Published live automatically (Always Live)
  • You can select multiple Instagram accounts per generate batch

Your Instagram account must be a Creator or Business account. Personal accounts don't support API posting. Switch in Instagram → Settings → Account Type.

Troubleshooting

Connected the wrong TikTok account

Disconnect the account from Dashboard → Channels, log out of TikTok in your browser, log back in with the correct account, then reconnect.

Connection fails or returns an error

Try disconnecting and reconnecting. Make sure the account is in good standing with TikTok/Instagram and that third-party cookies are enabled in your browser.

Account connected but posts aren't going through

Your OAuth token may have expired. Disconnect the account and reconnect to refresh your credentials.

Instagram says "account type not supported"

You need a Creator or Business account. Go to Instagram → Settings → Account → Switch to Professional Account.
